Workshop

Musical Theatre UNPLUGGED

Your voice. Your body. Your stage.

After the success of previous years, the workshop returns in a new, more intensive format. Musical Theatre Unplugged intentionally takes a different approach — focusing on greater connection, more personality, and authentic craft.

At the heart of the workshop are the participants themselves. Together, we work on discovering, strengthening, and authentically using voice, body, and expression as the essential tools of the musical stage. We return to the roots of the genre — storytelling through music, movement, and presence — and help unlock hidden talents

The process

Before the workshop, you will receive all important information via email to help you prepare optimally (lyrics, audio files, etc.). The three-day intensive workshop combines practical training with individual guidance. In focused sessions, participants are challenged, supported, and developed further — always with direct feedback from professional stage practice.

The workshop concludes with a joint presentation in which the work created during the workshop will be performed on stage at the TALENT ACADEMY. You are welcome to invite your family and friends to watch free of charge.

Coaches

The workshop is led by three experienced coaches who have been working in the international show and musical theatre industry for many years. They personally guide the participants, share their knowledge, and create a space where artistic growth can flourish.

Acting  – Daniel Johnson:

Stage professional, entertainer, showman — Daniel Johnson is a stage professional, entertainer, and true all-round performer — whether as a solo artist, boyband member, or musical theatre performer.
After receiving a scholarship at Stage School Hamburg, he performed on cruise ships (including AIDA Cruises and the Mein Schiff fleet), in revues at Wintergarten Berlin and Bar jeder Vernunft, and in various dinner shows and variety productions. He has also played leading roles in musicals such as Kiss Me, Kate and Hairspray.
Since 2022, he has been a member of the boyband Team5ünf and has appeared in TV shows such as Immer wieder Sonntags and the ZDF-Fernsehgarten.
He has maintained a close artistic connection with Europa-Park for many years, where he regularly performs as a singer and actor and was honored with the Artist Award “Singer of the Year” in 2021. He is also passionate about supporting young talent through workshops and teaching at the Talent Academy

Dance – Achim Himmelbauer:

Achim discovered his passion for music and dance at an early age and was accepted into the “Performing Talents Program” in Vienna at just 15, where he won several awards, including for his own choreography.
After completing his Commercial Dance studies in Barcelona and gaining experience in professional video shoots, he began his musical theatre training at the Performing Academy in 2022.
Since then, he has performed in a variety of productions, including Frankenstein Junior, Carmina Burana, and María de Buenos Aires, and most recently worked as a dance soloist and dance captain in Hairspray.

Vocal Coaching – Valentina Garavini:

After completing her studies at a jazz conservatory and her musical theatre training at an academy in Rome, Valentina Garavini worked for several years as a musical performer in Bologna.
Since 2017, she has been living in Germany, where she works as a singer at Europa-Park and currently performs on the Italian stage. In addition, she is the female voice of the band at Casino Baden-Baden, a singer with the show group Provokation Dance, and part of the German-Italian duo “Duo Valentines.”
Her repertoire today is multilingual and includes international pop music, jazz, musical theatre, as well as well-known Italian and French songs.
With passion, artistic sensitivity, and a special focus on personal expression, she shapes each workshop into an experience of growth, exchange, and stage presence.
